I picked AZ, SCA and I forget which district of TX as my last choice.
I haven't heard of anyone getting picked up anywhere else in the region beside Texas either. The other forum on officer.com (which I can't post on for some reason) had a few guys get the call for Texas this week. It really is a frustrating and nerve racking process haha... I'm about to have a stroke at age 24 ha
Is everyone prior military or law enforcement on here?

I have noticed that as well. A lot of the calls are going to Texas. I wonder if even though that's not listed on the wish list can you still be selected for that area.
I spent some time as a deputy sheriff a few years ago then joined the Army (Infantry). What about you Phoenix?

Thanks for the info on the PM darc.
I'm former military ( marines) and am about halfway done working on a criminology/ criminal justice degree. I took this semester off in anticipation of hopefully heading to FLETC... Hopefully that gamble pays off.
I am former military as well. Served as an officer for about 5 years in the US Army(Cav). Always had the goal of being in federal law enforcement.
Hello Group,
So quiet across the board lately. Hope that we start getting some calls soon. Keep your heads up.

Yea, most likely the Feb. class is filled. However, the good news is that calls will be going out for the March class soon. The positive thing is we get more time to PT and prepare!
Anybody from phoenix area been called for february? I wish they would send out an e-mail something along the lines of you rank # 55 on our hiring list ect.. atleast youd know where you stand. I moved out of my apartment & am living with a friend hoping to leave soon lol. This sucks.![]()
Justin,
your rank on the list is #55! Just kidding bro. I agree it would he nice to know exactly where were ranked according to being selected for the academy. At this time I'm pretty sure that the Feb academy is full and we should start hearing something for March and April soon. That's what I'm hoping atleast. I heard that DC had a snow day today and possibly another tomorrow. But we will see what happens I guess. It certainly would be nice for the phone to ring and the caller making a final offer. The waits driving me crazy and its got me doing push ups and running like crazy.
Good luck to all

You see, in the past, you would jsut go on an eligibility list. These days, however, it is much more complicated than that. It is my understanding that you go on a list for a district. However, that district is also awaiting positions in upcoming academies. So, while they may have 5 positions, they may only get 1 slot in a given class... and then there may be no method to how they choose which person on their list gets that position.

Switchback,
Does that mean that were all on a list for a specific district and just waiting on slots? Possibly those areas within our region of application? I'm asking that question because, in the case of those applicants that are still being picked up from the previous FCIP blitz. Some of them are just now getting in so is it safe to say that a position just now came open for them? Or is it something else that keeps them from being picked up right away?

I can't speak for the old process. All I am saying is that it is my understanding that the new hires will be hired within their respective regions and that they are on lists for specific districts.
I will be the first to say that the hiring is the one thing that I know least about, as it doesn't apply to me and is not something that I am even remotely involved with. This system is something that I assumed from comments made by a Chief when I was speaking about a friend that is awaiting notification of an academy date and I clarified it just last week with a recruiter.
Who knows, I could be wrong, but that is my understanding.
