Someone made a good point on another forum that CITP will probably continue at the same pace, but BDUSM classes could potentially be reduced to help compensate for budget cuts.
So, that probably doesn't help anyone out, but it's something to chew on...good luck everyone!
Ok, first of all, if there have been cuts UNRELATED TO HIRING, why would you care?!?!?!?! You are looking to get hired, right? If the cuts are not related, how would it affect you?
Now, the comment of continueing CITP classes but cutting BDUSM classes is silly. The Service is not going to pay to have you go through CI school yet leave you in limbo with no BDUSM school. FYI, without both, you will not be working for us, so they will not pay for only 1... as you take a stroll to another agency.
There are plenty of other places that the budget can be cut. I have noot seen a copy yet, so I really can't speak to where the cuts have been made. I will say that either all hiring will be trimmed or none will... there is no such thing as trimming part of the training.
