Hey Everyone,
I heard some people for region 8 have been invited to the interview process. I understand if you do not get an email about the interview, you will most likely will receive a letter in the mail stating, thanks but no thanks. My question is, what if you dont receive neither, does that mean you are still in the running?

I would say no news is good news right now. If you don't hear anything and it is close to interview time for the region then I would say you might be out.

I would say that if you haven't heard anything then maybe you should contact the recruiter and see what may be going on especially with it being so close to the interview time. I'd be making some calls to find out what's going on.
Things are progressing. Yesterday I got a call from the USMS advising me that I have 48 hours to go and take the drug test... Time to fill the cup! I hope this is a good sign that its close to wheels up!

Has anyone received an e-mail for thier interview yet?
I received an e-mail today at 1:07 PM(PST) confirming my interview date. I got my first choice. Now the nerves kick in, lol.
Got a call to take my second FIT test..... Region 7.
Lets hope that this means I will be going to FLETC
fairly soon!
Oh and I was only given a 2 day notice......

Fit tests expire after 6 months.
I doubt, if you are working out regularly, that a week or 2 off going to make any significant difference in yoru fit score.... well, unless you were THAT close to failing before the little mini-hiatus.
People should take from this one good point, tough: Be ready at any time. Usually, you have a little more notice and it is rare that you will get only a day or 2, but it happens. A guy in my academy class was a last minute addition. He took the fit test on Thur, offered the job on Fri and started the acadmey on Mon. That is not the norm, though.

I have heard grumbling of a November class, but the HR thing is hardly my forte, so don't hold me to it.
Being in a CR can really muddy the water. While there was funding for academy classes last fiscal year (meaning they can conduct them this year), there is still some level of apprehension without a budget beign signed. I would fully expect a class pretty soon, though. They are really in a position where they will HAVE to start classes soon, just to get the number of new hires in the budget brought on board.

Our FY-2010 training plan has been published. There are 13 classes scheduled between now and next September. One beginning each month, two beginning in April and July.
The November class begins next week. We have an applicant in our office who was recovering from an injury that has been selected to attend this class.
