Does anyone know how soon after your medical they schedule your drug screening? I had my medical this past Tuesday where they took an urine sample, but I was told by the nurse that was not the drug screening. I'm just curious because I've heard of other applicants having their medicals and drug screening on the same day. Also has anyone who currently holds a clearance heard anything back from the security office? I received an email stating that they had ordered and will review my prior BI.
I can only speak from my own experience, but I was contacted to do my drug test before I did my medical. A week or so later I was contacted to schedule my medical exam (where they also took a urine sample, but as you know, it wasn't for drug screening purposes). I think different offices will handle things slightly differently in terms of expedience. Hope that helps.
When I called to schedule my medical they set me up for two separate appointments. I assume one is the drug screening, but I will let know you when that time comes.
I received my T.O 8 July and never got the part 2 to schedule my medical exam. I emailed both persons whom were listed on my T.O email and it was forwarded to someone else. I had'nt heard anything so I called and was told I am not on "the list" for medical exams? The guy working this was supposed to make some phone calls and find out and get back with me, he never did?
This really worries me because everyone else that got T.O along with the part 2 stated it had to be scheduled within 30 days. Even others who have called that did not receive part 2 with thier T.O got taken care of pretty quick.
I agree with what you say about the staff doing the death grip the first time and such, on the CI side. However, when it comes to monitoring food, at least in my class plenty of people had their food monitored. And fortunately, it takes more than passing the PEB to make it. There have been plenty of people that I have heard that passed the PEB but failed out for the PT because they couldn't keep up during the sessions. But that's a good thing.
Could someone pm me the contact info for the person handling the medical exams? Its over a week now and still no response via email. I got 10 days until my 30 day window is up.
They cannot fail you out of the program if you pass the fit tests. I could be mistaken, though. It's not like I have more than just a few years under my belt with the agency as a fit coordinator.
At most, back in my academy, there was some ribbing from the cadre (something like 4-5 times TOTAL) for the bottom-feeders of the fit sessions. Then again, most of us were wondering what it took to max the fit test (rather than the minimum to pass). That was a long time ago.

Hey everbody, just as a heads up, my background started yesterday. They call and meet with you and then start. For all those who suggested that I wait to tell my chief, I did and that worked out great, so thanks. Waiting on fit. Test. They called to set it up but had me living in the wrong state, so any day now. Good luck
LESniper,
Thanks for the update and good luck with the fit test, I am sure you have been training like the rest of us.

Hey All,
If anybody has completed their interview, medical, background, etc and is waiting to take their FIT for the Southern District NY office, could you shoot me a private message?
Thanks
... hey guys, just a little 411 for all of you, after your B.I. clears (approx 3mos) you should take your F.I.T. After you pass, the F.I.T. form is faxed to HR and THAT DAY you should be getting a call from a (202) number & it's going to be a person from the doj/usms drug program. You will have 48hrs to report to a testing facility (like Quest Diagnostics) and piss. THAT is your drug test and shortly there after you will get a final offer.
Also, don't be afraid to call those people in DC and REMIND them that you are still waiting to find out what is going on with your application process. It's not easy getting into this agency, but the wait is worth the reward.
Good Luck!
