Different Branches of CBP ?

Negative ! CBP established its own Office of Internal Affairs 2 years ago. They have over 200 Special Agents assigned to approximately 19 SAC & RAC offices around the country. Check out CBPnet, There is a map of where all the CBP-IA offices are locted.

I was doing an internet search to find information regarding a position I just put in for and I came across this discussion. I just registered so I could ask the following question:

I applied and I have an interview for a physical security specialist job working for CBP. The job actually falls under the Security Management office of CBP Internal Affairs.

I applied for the Dallas location, but nobody seems to have any information regarding a specific location. I'm not asking for a full street address, but I have heard that it could be in Denton (which is actually pretty far North of Dallas). I have seen the Fed refer to a job being in a particular city, when that job is actually in a smaller city that nobody has heard of, so the job announcement just lists the name of the bigger city. Like, the job is actually in Richardson, TX, but the announcement calls it Dallas, since it is really close.

I was just wondering if anyone who can access CBPnet can tell me where the "Dallas" office of IA really is. Maybe just the general direction or something. Like, "north Dallas" or "Denton" or "South Dallas" or "between Dallas and Fort Worth." Or, like a landmark such as "kind of close to DFW." You get my point.

Any information would be awesome. If you don't think you should post it on here, maybe you can send me a PM. I have asked HR and they don't seem to think it is a secret, they just don't know the actual location. One of the HR people told me he thought the address was on a street that I looked up and it was really close to Denton. Anyway, any help would be great. Thanks.

I don't know if CBP IA has an office in Denton or not but I know they have an office in Dallas. I believe it's near DFW.

I would think that ICEburg would have the most accurate info on this.
