    Question about education

Hello. I am 24 years old and a recent college graduate with a B.A. in Criminal Justice w/ a minor in Sociology. I also have 2 years of federal work experience. My ultimate goal is to become a criminal investigator (1811) with the FBI/ATF/USSS. I am probably going to apply to be a police officer with a local department in the near future but I have a question about further education. I was hoping to get suggestions or comments on choosing a degree field that would best assist me in reaching my goal. I have narrowed down my choices to pursuing a B.A. in Political Science- International Relations, an Associates in Information Technology, or an Associates in Accounting. I chose these 3 majors/degrees because I could finish them in 1 year to 1 and a half years while working. Thanks for your time.

Not a fed, don't have a degree, but here's my advice anyway.

Scrap all those choices. If you want to go back to school, get a Master's in something. It will be infinitely valuable in the hiring process than another Bachelor's Degree.

I'm sure someone better able to help will be along soon.

I am a fed. Except for the FBI, no one really cares about what your degree is in. Work experience would prove more valuable than a master's degree for most agencies. If you have a BS, LE experience, AND a clean record, you should be pretty close to the "Most competitive" group on most hiring lists. The only guys beating you out will stack military on rop of that and there are not a ton who have ALL of those.
