    ATF Industry Operations Investigator Timeline

Hello everyone I recently applied for a job as a Industry Operations Investigator with the ATF. Could anyone possibly tell me how long the hiring process is from application to the academy. Thanks

I also applied. I am curious how fast the response time is. Also, is IOI one of those jobs that you apply to and never hear anything for years and then one day you get call for an interview? That's fine if it is, I would just like to know.

    Ioi

Yeah, I posted this same message on another forum and someone replied to me and said they found this partial IOI timeline.

    10/2004: Applied
11/2004: Letter saying I was qualified
    02/07/2005: Interview
02/17/2005: Received BI packet & returned in 4 days
3/10/2005: received call to clarify sf86
    3/23/2005: BI started

I applied on 10/23/08 so Ill wait and see what happens. If you can, let me know when you reach the next step in the process and I will do the same.

Applied to the same position as you. Hopefully, the process is not as long as for a LE position. I would assume it would be a much sooner response time. Have you heard anything about the panel interview for these positions? I'm of course jumping the gun thinking that I will get an interview.
Applied to a IRS Investigator job awhile back and was informed I was well qualified. Then waited two more months only to get a "You are well qualified but unfortunately no selection was made due to the position being disolved" Thanks IRS.
