FBI Phase 2

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and I am glad to have found it. I recently took and failed the phase 2 test. I did not think that it was very hard I just did not do well. Has anyone failed and taken it a second time and actually passed. I am sure there are people who have passed it the second time I am wondering what their experience was. I was moving in the process very quickly and now I have to wait 6 months to take it again. :(

Are you talking about the Phase I test? My understanding is phase II is an oral board?

Sorry I guess I said test but I meant the phase 2 interview. Like I said I failed it and have to wait 6 months to take it again. I will be 35 by then and I am getting nervous about my age. I was being fast tracked and I hope that I can retake the phase 2 and pass. I just wanted to hear from others who had to retake it again and if there were any issues that came up. Also when they notified their applicant coordinator about wanting to retake it.

Yes I have heard of several (on another forum) that have taken it twice and passed. Just identify your weaknesses in the first interview and try to improve on what went wrong. You now know what to expect so you have an advantage there. FBI Phase II is a tough nut to crack no matter how you toss it. I have spoken to a few who thought they aced it only to fail later. Others thought the opposite and passed. You really never know...Good Luck!

I have read several advertisements and testimonials about interview coaching for the FBI Phase II Oral Interview. Given your situation it might be worth looking into, rather than simply retrying it a second time on your own. Good luck. I wasn't selected to move on to Phase II after I passed the written test - if you would, I am interested in what your back ground was to even get selected, let alone fast tracked. Good luck to you!!

I appreciate the responces. I guess that I will wait and take phase 2 again. The test was not very hard in itself however adequate preperation is required. I was just not ready for the tight time restrictions. Anyway my background is a master's degree in CJ. I am a police officer in a major city in Ohio where I have been assigned to the robbery task force, violent crimes task force and am now a vice investigator. I have also been a member of the SWAT team for several years. I applied for the FBI tactical recruit position and that opening is being somewhat fast tracked.
