Well, not necessarily, DC. There are FLETC physical requirements. I knwo when I was in CI school I had to pass the FLETC requirements and then for the USMS follow-up, I had to pass the USMS requirements. I will say that the FLETC requirements were even easier than ours! LOL
It's been a long time and I do not remember the requirements. I think there was push-ups, sit-ups, a bench-press, a shuttle run (sprint) and I think a 1 mile run.

If you are attending a basic FLETC run course (i.e. persons from several agencies attend) then you will take the FLETC PEB (look it up at the FLETC website). If you are attending an agency specific course (only members of one agency attend) then you will most likely have to take the agency physical fitness test.
Really that easy.

Correct Gentlemen:
Many agencies use the FLETC PEB standards for completion of the Basic Progrmas, (CI, Police, etc).
Many agencies have stricter physical training requirements established by the agency for retention of LE personnel.
The FLETC PEB standard is based on gender and age in five testing areas:
1.5 mile run/walk
bench press
sit and reach
30 yard agility run
Body Fat composition
hope this helps

I don't know about out your way Tom, here at GLYNCO there's another part of the PEB that you might have forgotten......how fast you can make it to Pam's from the base (afterhours, of course). Isn't that part of the PEB? ;)

The above posts are right, just look at the website of the agency you want and they publish exactly what you need to know. I am at FLETC right now (spent thanksgiving on St. Simons, 80 degrees) and let me tell you, it's all different for each agency. I will tell you this, IT's NOT A JOKE. GET IN SHAPE before you come out here, the instructors will kick your butt.
What are you there for TEX?

You are correct I forgot the most import sixth part of the PEB, the road race to Pam#1 for the wings and Beer special. When you go check out the South Wall and find our (CI Basic 9406) class photograph on the wall. Ahh memories of Pam#1
