    FBI language entry path

Hey everyone, long time lurker first time poster here. Anyway I have a couple of questions about the FBI's language entry path for SA's.

1.) The website says that you can enter this way if you have any four year degree and can prove fluency in one or more of the current critical languages, does this mean that the three years of professional work experience are waived?

2.) Will entry through the language path mean that I would be stuck working as a translator or could I still become a normal SA?

3.) Are chances of getting hired higher the more languages you are fluent in? Other than Arabic are there any of the other critical languages that are especially critical?

    Thanks for you help.

If the critical skill does not list x number of years work experience as a requirement, it's not a requirement. If you have this critical skill, speak to a FBI recruiter for more specifics, but some skills like computer forensics and language skills are hard to come by, and the work experience requirement is often waived.

You would be a SA, period. The bureau would utilize your language talents as they see fit.

The website fbijobs.com give details on what languages the bureau is seeking for recruitment. Do some "investigating" of your own for specifics. If you have a critical skill the bureau is seeking, apply. Whether you'll get hired faster than someone with an accounting degree or juris doctorate, I can't say. Regardless, if it's a critical skill, it's something the FBI is seeking to hire (assuming the bureau deems you a good fit for their agency).
