Congrats Jennifer on passing the fit test; the worst is over. Oh yeah, now there's the wait for the call, lol!
Justin, best of luck at FLETC.
Good news that calls are still going out for Sept.

All done!!! Graduated last week!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone in the future!!!!
Thanks, I just got some paperwork in the mail today requesting some additional information from the BI. Guess, that means they are working on it, which is a good sign.
I'm glad to hear that things are progressing for everyone though. That's very positive. It seemed for awhile there wasn't any movement. I wonder if it has to do with with the budgets for 2011 being finalized?

Congratulations to all those who have received the call and others who will soon. Unfortunately I believe I am a little late for the FCIP as I will be graduating in the spring and have learned this is pretty much the final round of applicants to be pushed through the pipeline.
Does anyone have any idea when the USMS will begin hiring again, and if it will be through the FCIP or a different program?
Good luck to all of you.
dnttrdonme... thats a hard question I think its a bit of luck and budget/numbers. I think they have alot of applicants now, so who knows. The marshals that did the information session said they probably wont do another big hiring push for 5 years or so. Keep checking though, you never know.
Don't quote me on this, but the rumors I'm hearing is that we're done with FCIP and are gonna go back to a test. Not sure when that might happen, though. Congrats to all going to FLETC soon.

Thanks for the answers guys, I have no intentions of giving up on my goal of becoming a Deputy Marshal. Just gonna have to change up the game plan a little, and keep hunting down answers.
I'll take my chances with the ouija board until they start using an exam.
Hi everyone, this is my first post I just joined the site. I was wondering if someone could tell me if the USMS really has an issue with color blindness. I have the most common type among white males: red/green I believe it is. I took my medical exam last December and had to go on my own time to get an additional color blind test done, which confirmed that I have it. That was back in January and I still haven't received any word. I finally called today and they wouldn't say much other than my case is still under review and that the next correspondence that I would receive would be from staffing. I am in region 2 and started the process in March, 2008. Anyone here from that group?
I'm in Region 2 and started in Mar '08 also. As for your question, I had a similar issue w/ the initial color test and had to go back for a follow-up color test where they gave me the Farnsworth D-15 exam. Passed w/ a 100% w/ 20/15 vision and no issues thereafter. Evidently, they do want you to have good color vision or they wouldn't have you take a follow-up exam. From my understanding, all FLE agencies require the same type of vision exam.
Mar '09 is when I started the process..not '08. Sorry about that..
Yeah actually I started it in March 2009 also. Where are you in the process now?
