I was in the Marines for 8 years. I enlisted as a reservist to finish my degree and I was activated for war. I ordered my DD 214 because my original one was unintentionally destroyed. The DD 214 I received only had my active duty from MOS school. I submitted another request with my orders and have spoken to Headquarters Marine Corps about my situation. Right now I am just waiting for them to un-F it. I submitted my Honorable Discharge and a copy of my orders with a cover letter explaining the discrepancy in getting my correct DD 214 to NCIS. The job post will be closed March 31 for NCIS. Will NCIS disregard my application? I am aware that there is a lot of competition and they have no reason to wait on my situation to get squared away, I do think I have a strong package that models what NCIS wants. Please advise.
