when will ICE start giving out pin numbers again

I guess I missed my chance with ICE, I faxed the new york office my resume in february and in march and never received anything, no pin number, no acknowlegement, nothing. When I called the office, it was just a recording saying to fax my resume over. Was I supposed to hear anything? Anyone know when they will be giving out pin numbers again or how to get them ?

Well, my best guess would be be not for a while. They have tests scheduled over the next couple months so they, at the very least, have to get through them before they think of issuing more pins. But hey...I'm not with ICE, so who knows.

That question would best be answered by an ICE SA recruiter. Try to make telephone contatct with one at any SAC officer you can, not just the one nearest your location and ask them. They usually will have the most up to date info.

Also keep in mind that the ice pin number days are over. Now they have office registration numbers (I think that is what they called them). They offices supposedly have no set allotment of them (like with pins in the past). But you have to be one of the first 1000 to register for the test to get a slot.

They just gave out a thousand pins a few weeks ago. After they weed through those, maybe they'll give out some more. They are pretty sneaky about it. They don't give much of a heads up, and it's usually over before anybody knew about it.

Right now, ICE OI is taking applications from current 1811's who want to lateral (according to my DSAC). That's all I know. If I hear more I'll post it.
