Greener Grass?

An article in the Government Executive, dated November 5, 2007, titled "DHS touts success in senior-level hiring" states:

"..... DHS studied the agency with the highest attrition rate -- the Transportation Security Administration -- and encouraged officers who might have otherwise left TSA to move elsewhere, such as Customs and Border Patrol."

Seems to me that transferring from one Agency with morale problems to another with similar issues is not the solution.

P.S. On a positive note, I hear things are improving at both Agency's.

TSA has tons of morale problems, starting with the fact promotional possibilites are next to none...LOL couple that with the fact that they hire the wrong people for the job = people flapping thier wings to leave or getting fired. I remember in 2005 when I was told by TSA senior management that our organization passed the USPS for HR related complaints.:eek:..

Hence forth I flapped my wings and got the hell out too..:D
