First time I had him he was clean shaven. I came back a couple years later and he had the HUGE beard. What's his flavor of the day? Is Hodge still in PTD?

RT302,
Dont sweat is man. The 229 is not that difficult, it just takes some getting used to going from a glock to a double/single action firearm. I was just referring to the fact that some people (usally new to shooting and of a smaller frame) just cant get the trigger pull right for some reason and cant qual. I have seen some experienced LEO's struggle at first as well (again because they are used to glocks) but all got the hang of it after some practice. Most however by far pick it up pretty quick. I wouldnt worry!
I think the Sig is great.. and I still consider myself a Glock man. I went from years of shooting the Glock to having qualify with the Sig P229 for our Special Operations Group Selection course (not exactly the best learning conditions).
I shot the thing really well. In fact, the entire time that I carried it, I consistantly shot our qual course wither perfect of near perfect every time. It was my first gun to shoot DA to SA, decocking, etc. It came very natural and I never gave it a second thought.
You'll do just fine.

Thanks for the support guys!! I have to get the job first. I was just kidding though about being all nervous about possibly switching, hence theat the end. I like shooting the Sig, but am obviously used to my issued Glock and that is what I qualify on.
Here is a little secret that FLETC either never caught on to or didn't care.....;) when we did simunitions training, everyone in the class, even the guys shooting Glocks would reach for the Sigs. The sim. Sigs seemed to malfunction less with the sim. rounds. The instructors HAD to know because half the class was walking around with weapons that wouldn't fit the holsters.
Switch, I like the Glock also and will probably always have one, simply for ease of use and familiarity with it.
