U.S. Capitol Police

Does anyone on this site know anything about the US Cap Police hiring process or been hired recently? I got a conditional offer of employment that doesn't seem to be worth the paper its written on. I've passed everything and haven't heard anything. The conditional was give to me in June, it expires Dec 1st and I still haven't heard a word. Meanwhile I applied to Metro D.C. Police Department about the same time I also have a conditional from them and once I pass the physical that Im scheduled for next month I'll be hired. I want the Cap Police position because it's federal and pays a lot more. My fear is that I'll accept the Metro position and then the Cap Police will call me at the last minute.

I've done all that believe me I was hoping someone who has been hired recently could let me know how they do things. Im just wondering when I can expect a hiring decison.

Kelly, you called their personnell department? What did they say?

well I've talked to my investigator he knows who I am he said that my application is active and awaiting a decison. A friend of mine has a brother and law who works for them and he said they will probably wait until the last minute but I don't know how much more last minute it can get there are less than 30 days until the conditional expires. My investigator is really positive like its practically a done deal but I dont know how to take that. I thought I would know something by now.
