CBP Officer or TSA gigs?

Good morning to everyone ….. I must apologize for asking all these repetitive “working conditions” questions as of late ….. But I am simply trying to cover myself if this new thing does not come through. I am looking for the potential growth and geographic mobility (the coast of living in DC/NOVA is just about as bad as it can be) within different positions … no more, no less.

So, anyone have any input on the Customs and Border Protection Officer position? Its starting off at a 5 and a 7 which is one Hell of a cut, but it is what it is. I would be putting in for the Baltimore rotation, and from what I have heard that’s one of the places they always need people. I would also be willing to take the Northern VA position if B-more was not open.

In my search through the endless halls of USA JOBS I also spotted the Transportation Security Specialist (Watch Officer) position and the Transportation Security Inspector (Cargo) position …… Thoughts on them, stories, good or bad?

Hopefully I will come up with something more original and exciting to write about one of theses days, but for now it’s just the random Q&A.
