Physical Security Specialist (LESO) / FBI Surveillance Specialist – Reply and Q&A

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, as always anything and everything helps.

I’m currently with Dept of Treasury, but having finished up all the pre-requisites I am looking to join up with a DOD outfit soon. Always looking to keep options on the table.

I guess I may ask another question while I’m at it …… what’s with this Physical Security Specialist (LESO) ….. Is this like some FPS Security Guard position? It’s a 0080 series, and the money is kind all over the place. I guess what I can’t figure out is the following line from the ad:

“As the Contracting Officer's representative, you will carry out inspections to assure compliance with contract specifications. Also, on a regular and recurring basis, you will perform duties as a uniformed law enforcement official under 40 U.S. Code 1315. You will enforce and assure compliance with statutes, laws, building rules and regulations, and protect the civil rights of all persons on Federal property.” …. With no arrest authority?

I did GSA Guard work back in the day ….. is that what this is?
