Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice.
My new hero!
Congrats
Eunice: A .22? Oh you've gotta be kidding me. That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
Detective Greenly: Yeah, or bringing a really small gun... to a gunfight.

Awesome. How long was the whole process and what are some things to work on before the BEX?
Thanks
Thanks everybody. I'm looking forward to getting started. Now I just have to somehow get my life in order to move in a month and a half!
ZXCV - as far as things to work on before the BEX, I think there's probably tons of info on this on older threads, but basically know yourself (your accomplishments, your skills, what you can bring, etc.), know the job (the three components, who your boss is at an embassy - the ambassador), and think of worst-case scenarios and what you would do to handle them. Be confident, but not arrogant; demonstrate knowledge and ability as well as a desire and willingness to learn. And stay cool under pressure - that's one of the biggest things they look for. Good luck!
Congrats buddy. DS is one of the top 3 federal agencies in the U.S. government to work for. You'll never look back.
