If I were going to apply tomorrow, would I be better served to apply through any certain field office, or should I just contact the local FO? or does it matter?

This worked for me, twice:
Go to Craig's List, or whatever search engine you like, and find a local tutor. Many high school teachers do that on the side. Make an appointment, and bring the study guide with you. Go to the tutor as many times as you need to, but make sure that he/she can test you on the material and you do well. As I said, I did this twice. The first time resulted in a 96. The second time resulted in a 100. I didn't think that I'd even pass the tests before I went to the tutor. Good luck.

Keep in mind, also, that they are not currently recruiting right now. They just tested approximately 1000 applicants. I'm not sure when the next cycle will be, but call the field office, ask for the SA recruiter, and hopefully you can find out when the next test will be.

I just took the SA exam today, I'm hoping that a two strong sections make up for one weaker one lol. Now, like everyone else, wait to hear for the results.
I took the test April 4th in Houston. I felt it was easier than the TEA, however, I haven't got the results back just yet. :D I would even swear that there were some identical test questions. I was suprised that I was able to get through the math section without feeling like I had failed it. The first part of the test was the part that got me, at least in the beginning, because I was tired and it took me a little while to get into the "zone."

I have a few questions I can't find answers to. Hopefully somebody has some information.
1. When you are assigned to a SAC office, will you almost always start in the main office, or is it just as likely that you will go to one of the satellite offices?
2. When you receive a tentative offer, are you told exactly which office you are going to, or do they just tell you which SAC?
3. Are there places in the U.S. that ICE SA's cannot carry a firearm?
I think that's it for now. Thanks in advance!

My new hero!
anyone know when ICE will be hiring again
We got SCIFs, too! And, although cell phones are not allowed, no one ever told me I couldn't bring a gun in.
When I first hired on, and being a southern boy, I heard someone say they had been in a skiff all day, I asked them where. They said, "here, at the office" and I couldn't figure out where you could be paddling a skiff in our office. :D

Hello all, I have followed this forum for a while, but just joined today. I took the ICE SA test in KC on April 10th and will be waiting for the good news like everyone else. I suppose if the news is negative you won't here much more from me:eek:
Best of luck to all the test takers and all those already in the pipe.
There seemed to be 20+ takers on our test date.
Does anyone know how the personal data section is used in reacing a score, or is it just used to create a profile on each applicant?

Just thought I'd introduce myself...

Has anybody heard ANYONE get the call lately?
