That seems about right - it has been 5 months since the last S/I interviews in October 2008 (from our testing group in April/March 2008). No NORs have been issued from that round of interviews, that I am aware of.

tear ...I'm not surprised, just curious.
Well, like everyone else, I'm just ready to get the ball rolling.

Maybe they are waiting for all of the March 08 tester to finish their interviews. I submitted my documents via email yesterday. Now 4-6 weeks for the call to schedule an interview.
That was what I suspected was going on. If they are going to treat all the March 08 testers the same then they can't make any decisions until they have met with and processed everyone. But just as soon as it starts to make sense the process will change again. Might as well settle in for the long haul.

Hey, just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I took the ICE SA exam February 08, sent application materials January 09, and just had SI and written assessment last week. Any advice on what's next in the hiring process? Thanks.
As far as I can tell, the next step is: (1) getting a Notice of Results from the SI, (2) and then fill out a pile of forms (SF86 and the like), (3) get a medical check, (4) drug test, (5) back ground check, (6) and then once you are cleared your file waits in a magical place known as T&S (for an unspecified amount of time to test your patience and resolve to follow through with this mind bending process) for a Duty Station assignment and a training date down at FLETC. If however a year passes before you get your offer you must (7) retest for drugs (8) get a medical re certification or self cert (9) wonder if your forms that you submitted have been lost and if you are still being considered and if you are still in T&S. (10) Call the Dallas Hiring Center over and over again so that the people down there are too busy answering phones to be able to process everyone's files :D
With any luck you won't have to deal with steps 7-10, but they seem to be a common theme for those who have gone on before us.
That said, the group of interviewees from October/November 2008 are still waiting to get their results. So I believe ALL the 2008 SA testers who passed the written exam will be interviewed before any of us get NORs on the SI. (That is my own personal theory).
Those who have been in the process longer than me - feel free to correct me if I am confused.

Thanks for the info, I'll keep watching my mailbox for the NOR then.
Got the call for March 23rd class! Sept 06 tester, interviewed in Atlanta and got a RAC under Atlanta. Wish me luck!

Thanks! Hang in there; the call will come!
Does anyone have a phone number for the Dallas Hiring Center? I only have a physical address and an e-mail from the e-mails they have sent me. Thanks!
Hello all,
Last week I had my panel interview for ICE. I completed the writing sample, had the panel interview and that was it. I apparently did a bad job, as I did not receive a second one-on-one interview (which I know is a part of the process as a friend of mine is also in the applicant pool). After the interview, I was upset and tried to figure out what I did wrong. I spoke with a my friend (who is also a police officer) about the interview and the types of questions. I assumed that I answered the questions wrong. However, after discussing things with him, our interviews were very similar and he gave the same types of answers that I gave! How can I figure out what I did wrong??
Thanks in advance!
