My new hero!
you took the words right out of my mouth! but as you can see from his posts, nothing you, me or anyone says, he is going to argue and try to discredit everything.
TWINKL: i know this is a futile attempt to make you understand, but it will make me feel better to tell you that you are barking up the wrong trees. BIG SEXY and I have been members of forums, not just this one, for a long time. ive followed the ice sa threads for 3 years, been through the process twice and a current cbp employee who work with agents everyday. BIG is a very knowledgeable person and a current ice agent. if you do not respect my opinions or insight, you should at least listen to BIG. your attitude is going to be a detriment when, and if, you get hired by ice or any other agency.

Well it's OFFICIAL
---
Thank you for your recent interest in the position of Criminal Investigator, GL-1811-5/7/9 with Immigration and
Customs Enforcement. The recruitment yielded more than 3,000 eligible applicants, which was significantly more
than we had anticipated.
As a result of the tremendous response to our recruitment and the anticipated hiring levels for Fiscal Year 09, it has
become necessary to use a top down selection process based on the ICE Special Agent written examination and
veterans\uc2舗\'19\'20 preference. For applicants claiming veterans\uc2舗\'19\'20 preference, the points (5-10 points) are added to the
applicant\uc2舗\'19\'20s test score. Accordingly, applicants with a score of 90 or higher will continue in the pre-selection process
for the entry-level Criminal Investigator position. Any 10 percent or more (10-point) disabled veteran irregardless of
their score will also continue in the pre-selection process.
If you have a written test score of 89.0 or less your application will not receive any further consideration

WOW!! I did not see that coming! Looks like all my earlier conjectures were dead wrong. Good luck to those remaining in the process.

TWINKL-You stated, "The Sept. 07 testers have really gotten the short end of the stick in this process with all the sudden changes!" but i dont see where it states that sept '07 test takers are affected by this? im not saying they are not, but it appears that this only affects the '08 group.
I received the same e-mail. Here's hoping the USMS calls sooner than later. :D

Over sensitivity and sub par sarcasm, are definitely not good qualities for a federal agent.
For the record, from someone who has been a federal agent for the last 13 1/2 years. BIG SEXY is more than qualified to ask all the sensless questions he'd like.
BIG has been in your shoes, you're still trying to get into BIG's.

Well this sucks...looks like I won't be getting a packet. I still don't know what my score was. It is not on application manager, and I never got that email. Is there other '08 tester who didn't get that email?

Well, it looks like CASS is officially dead as was rumored. Others from 911 said they are no longer in the system. Looks like we will be getting updates the old fashioned way now!
Well after months of waiting I FINALLY got my tentative offer today! Now to fill out the paper work and go back to waiting endlessly. LOL!
Oh and Im not sure If you other guys know or not, but ICE has decided NOT to use a score cutoff after all. So you may be getting an interview call soon.

Well, I have hit the one year mark in the scheduling unit. Hopefully I will get a call sooner than later...(endlessly waiting for the phone to ring)
It is a long processes for some, for you 07 and 08 testers, keep the faith and good luck with the interviews.
For any of you current SA's, is there anyway to find out if the office a person interviewed out of decided to earmark you for that office or let you go into the "general pool"?
Maverick24 - Congrats!!
If I may ask, did your offer include a location, and if so was it at the SAC you interviewed or one of the offices in its region? Also how long did this offer come after your interview? I'm just trying to get a feel of how things are playing out under the new system. Thanks.

Thanks Glockpacker,
No location is given with the tentitive offer (TO), only the final offer of employment will you know. It took us sept 07 testers about 5 months after the interview to get a TO. It used to be much quicker than that, but everything is different now with the move to dallas.
Any Sept 06 testers still on this forum? I've not been on here in a long time, and am just seeing if anyone has information about how many classes are left for this FY. Last I heard on another forum, they were making calls last week for an Aug. 18th class. Until then, here's to sitting in T&S since 11/07!
