I just recieved a packet of pre-employment forms to fill out and return by June 03, then my SI will be scheduled. I hope the process keeps moving right along for me. I tested on 03/03.

Yeah we sept 07 testers are just about at 6 months and still no word on our TO's. Also it looks like the CASS system is going away. Dallas is now taking over all hiring for ICE OI and they said they have nothing to do with that system (which is CBP's). So it looks like the days of knowing when your BI clears, T&S etc. may be over.
From what I've been told by two ICE SA recruiters is that if you already have a security clearance with DHS (BP, CBP, DRO, etc) the process will move faster. Also, some SACs need people more than others and each SAC has the discretion to hire whom he/she pleases; which has a lot to do with how fast you get the firm offer. Therefore, it can be said that with a DHS clearance and applying to an office that has a greater need your process will move a little faster. Luckily, I'm already with ICE and applying for a hard to fill location.
I got the post test packet today in the mail. It came from Dallas; perhaps movement from the Newbies means there will be more movement for others in the pipe.

Anyone ever hear of an applicant passing the ICE written test and then getting a "thanks but no thanks" letter instead of being granted a structured interview? I thought everyone that passed the written moved on to the next step, but it's being reported on another forum that this has happend before.
I never have, but ICE seems to be changing the process a bit this time around. There were some rumors that SI's might be given based on test scores but I have no idea if that is true or not. From what I know of the past if ICE does sometimes thin-letter those after passing the exam, it is very, very rare. Personally I wouldnt worry too much, those guys on 911 are going absolutely nuts with over-analyzing things and spreading rumors around, its starting to get a bit ridiculous IMO.
