But as to your ability to get fired by USCP, my advice is to not do things that can get you fired. The vast majority of employees everywhere manage to go to work every day and not get fired. It's not hard. That siad, probationary employees there still have quite a few job protections, and no agency throws away employees that they spent time and money on unless that employee is a total slap.
You have indicated before that you don't work for USCP so you wouldn't be affected Tunlrat asked, I replied. For the reasons stated you have no protection. As far as being a "slap" You don't have to be one to get dismissed. They don't care about how much they spend because Congress keeps sending the money. I have never been fired from anywhere and have a a pretty good career in a "real" police department.

As far as Gainer, I thought he was good at first until I saw his real side. Check out some of these sites and you will realize the smoke and mirror show he presents.

Gainer has done alot for USCP but most of it has been to stroke his own ego. To say I don't like Gainer is an understatement, again thats my opinion.

As I read this, I'm laughing because I remember what our paycheck was when we got married .....around $360 biweekly (I think). Heehee! That was 12 years ago. At that time, as a couple we set some goals. As we achieved the set goals, we would set new ones. As the years have progressed, so has our paycheck. When I said that he earns every penny he makes, I meant two things:

    1) He's been an officer for over 14 years and his life has been put in jeopardy more times than I care to recall. For that reason I think he deserves his paycheck.
    2) Any job my husband does, he gives it 100%, therefore he earns what he makes. It helps that he has a passion for his particular subject matter.

It sounds like your husband is one of the people that deserves every penny he makes just as you said. Having been a real police officer and not one of the high dollar suit wearers I am sure that his experience makes him a good and credible instructor. I was talking about the high paid Program Specialists, Instructors (only hired internally from former Feds) Assistant Directors, and Deputy Directors many of whom have never real been real police that are making the big bucks but have very little class time with recruits. I hope your husbands salary climbs to the level of some of those people. The figure of bi-weekly you quoted before was low even for 12 years ago, so he does deserve every penny he makes now.
