    Reapplying every year?????????

    While surfing the jobs on line for LEO related fields for civilians, I came across some fed jobs that require you to reapply every year after you have been hired. These jobs were in the homeland security area. Is this normal for all fed jobs or just the homeland security division?

    Could it have something to do with who is in Office?...Isn't the Head of Homeland Security Appointed? Maybe because it is so new...I don't know...I have never heard this before.

    I would assume that the Head's of these departments would change...but not those working under them.:rolleyes:

    that makes no sense. I would not want to work some place where I had to apply to keep my job every year. Could you imagin the stress that would cause you not knowing if you would still have a job from year to year?
