Customs Border Protection Technician

Hello everyone here is an update, my drug test is completed IA has my BI Paperwork(finger print cards etc) they have had it since the 15 Oct 06. I am still waiting on a start date. The nice man in Minnesotta is helping me out but his hands are tied. The other County Job I was applying for offered me a position in their Corrections Department with the option of road time since I am dual certified. I took it with 50% road/corrections I start on the 13 Nov 06. I hope Customs hurries I want my Thanksgiving off I didn't really want back into Corrections or the road again. Going from a State Prison to County is a whole new ball game. Does anyone know how long a background investigaton usually takes? My clearance for the military took a week.....
