Federal Reserve Police

The Federal Reserve in Atlanta does not have police officers. They have security guards. They are not allowed to wear their uniforms outside of the job nor are they allowed to take them home. Same with their weapons.

That is going to change this year as they are becoming 083 Federal Police officers. The job will be the same though. A security gig but with police powers.

They still wont be able to take their duty weapons home. HR 218 will allow them to carry their personal weapon off duty....if their department leaders allow it.

I dont even think HR 218 would cover us since we are not employed by a governmental agency. Board of Governor FRLEOs would qualify.

Actual HR 218 text:

"qualified law enforcement officer' means an employee of a governmental agency who..."

I sent an email to the DOJ asking for clarification on this over a year ago, no response. This is all mute anyway, we will not be 0083's anytime soon. If the banks have it their way, we will never become 0083's.
