FAM time-line

Here is my question.

There are several of us who completed everything except medical, if there is a new announcement...do we re-apply and the old list is dead?

I've been trying to find out. I can tell you that FAMS HQ has been requesting things like transcripts over the last months from applicants already in the process. I doubt they would be wasting their time if everyone would have to begin again from sqaure one.

I concur with my friend Mav. I would think that people who may have only applied and not completed any steps in the process may have to re-enter their information into the new system, and therefore essentially reapply. But people who have completed steps and have already had their application reviewed...those people should be all set to continue with the process.

i read on another forum that we will be contacted by mid january if we are going to recieve an offer, can you gentleman confirm or deny the validity of this statement?

Hey guys, just a piece of unsolicited advice (so take it for what its worth), but if a new announcement opens--apply. Don't think to yourself, "well, they already have all my info, soo..." For example, I applied in '06, but was hired from the Jan '08 announcement. Federal jobs are tied to a vacancy announcement and generally speaking you have to apply to each one to be considered under that particular announcement.

Mid-January is when he new announcement will come out and things pick up. But I don't know if you will receive an offer then if you are "going to."

Any new info out there?? I got the 703 call for transcripts back in 9/08, but nothing since... I'm hoping something will jump off for us all very soon! Anyone processing through Atlanta?

More for the rumor mill --- I heard someone in the office say something about Jan 15th for the new announcement. Could be baloney, but at least it seems in line with the previous mid-Jan statement.

I would appreciate it if any one could give me some insight. I was recently cleared fro a Q level clearance, the job fell thru but i was told that another federal agencie can pick it up. I would like to get some info on the FAMS ( hiring vacancies, job postings, locations needed at this time.) from anyone who might curerently be employed as a FAM. I would appreciate anyhting i can get.

I checked usa jobs and couldn'd find the announcment for jan 09, do i need to search a different title for the fams?
