not a FAM but the two hardest field offices to get are charlotte and houston. houston because all of the nasa scientists live there so that some how causes the government salary for everyone else around there to go up a good amount. not sure why charlotte, all i can tell you is that the gentleman i've met there while processing loved it and said life was great there.

Hit the nail on the head. Charlotte and Houston are pretty much impossible offices to get. They are actually overstaffed and their attrition rates are non-existant. Guys in Charlotte live like kings, happiest FAMS I have met.

Also I heard that the uploads didnt work at first due to a system crash because of the massive amount of applicants trying to use the system at once. All should be working fine now.

I am a FAM and if I had to pick the top 5 it would be:
    1) Charlotee
    2) Orlando
    3) Miami
    4) Houston
    5) Atlanta

    "sorry about the spelling"

I am sure a big reason for this is lower cost of living in the South. Most new hires are going to WFO, NYC, LA, SF, EWR. In general, it is much harder to get by in the Northeast or CA.

Personally, I would love to get EWR. It's the Continental hub and lots of Ints.

The only time Ive seen them do this for the long term is for military deployment. Sometimes if you are lucky you might get them to delay your EOD until the next class. Other times they will tell you to take the offer or leave it.

The psych entails being asked a bunch of questions over and over in different ways. Be prepared to for your writing hand to cramp up. Don't sweat it.

I was wondering that also, I think it took place at the final station.

    Or...there isn't one unless it's "needed".

I wouldnt worry about it UB, and Jb. It looks like they brought back the psyche requirement for the new applicants. It shouldnt affect those already done with the process.

Oh and yes prepare for your hand to pretty much want to fall off. I took that psyche twice once for FAMS and also for DEA. Same exact exam. Hundreds of questions.
