Contact your recruiter and see what they recommend to prepare. Some agency's have mock oral boards or practice questions just to help you get an idea of what they are looking for in the answers to their scenarios. Typically it'll go one of two ways: Tell me about yourself, why you wanna be a Police Officer, yada, yada, yada or a scenario based question like: "your rolling down the street and you see a robbery in progress, what do you do?" etc, etc. The scenarios always suck. You never know what a department looks for as some respond to things a little differently. Just remember that the preservation of life is very important and uh lets see, oh, dont accept gratuities, try to learn their use of force policy, the escalation and de escalation of force, be able to talk about community oriented policing etc. and dont express to the panel any extreme political or religous views you may have!
Good luck guarding that mountain!
