USSS/USSS UD Application ?'s

Received a letter today, as I applied for both positions (which required the two initial forms from the usajobs.gov site). They instructed me to fill out these attached forms (Sf-86 etc..)

I am unsure if the paperwork is for the UD or the 1811 position ? They supplied an optional form for the 1811 position "labeled for 4 yr verification degree"..

I am assuming the initial form will work for both positions and that the additional form is needed for the 1811 slot..

Anyone else have experience with the mailed paperwork?

Yes, that one form verifying a bachelor's degree is for the 1811. Make sure you keep hard AND electronic copies of everything...sometimes things "get" lost.

Also, I did the same thing you did too--applied for both positions. At my panel interview for the 1811, they made me choose right then & there what position I wanted to continue applying for. They said I could not do both up to that point. Kinda got the feeling they wanted me to go UD because that side of the house apparently is hurting---bad. They kept saying things like "with your degree & former experience (patrol only) I'm sure UD would hire you much faster. Plus, it's a good way to get your foot in the door." That was 3 years ago & I'm still in the 1811 process. Sometimes, I wonder what would have happened if I went for that UD position. :rolleyes: Just my 2 cents...just pm'd BTW.
