    Now I have a question.

Lets Say a 20yo male married a 16yo female in a state that it is legal. They go on their honeymoon to a state where it is considered illegal to have sex, the guy can be arrested for consimating (sp?) his marriage with his own wife?
Don't take life so seriously, you're not gonna get out of it alive anyway!

    In a nutshell:
James is a 28 year old "boy" that would find girls in chatrooms, and meet them offline. He would focus on girls with low self-esteem or just the naive ones. He would bring them back to his apartment and would bully or indimidate them into having sex. He did this with somewhere between 30-60 girls ranging in age from 11 - 18. They all were threatened after sex not to tell anyone and they were made to feel that it was THEIR fault. The dumb-a$$ judge let him out on $25,000 bail and he ended up forcibly raping another (14 yo) girl while on bail, plus he was arrested for harrassment.
Anyway, he was just convicted on the first set of charges... he still has 3 more trials to go, plus now has been indicted on federal charges for having child pornography on his computer.
Currently he is serving 20 years.
Honestly I am really suprised some p.o.'ed Daddy hasn't shot him.

I heard of a guy from Utah who went to meet a girl in Idaho. The girl in Idaho ended up being a federal agent and the guy is now doing federal time.

Oregon had a specific law regarding this type of crime. It's like statuatory rape: Contributing to the Sexual Delinquency of a Minor.

USCG , I think mariage is covered , even though I disagree with some of those laws too. Check the state of Ark. , I think age of consent used to be 12.

    Internet Crimes Against Children

FSUGRAD hit the nail on the head, the FBI has established an Innocent Images Task Force, in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies to combat INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN. Many of ICAC task forces are established through local law enforcement agencies.

Internet Crimes Against Children is a growing CRIMINAL ACTIVITY in this country. I know alot of the posters apply their individual state statutes to consent, but I believe they are missing the point.

Federally, absence of the applied individual state consent laws, luring minors to engage in sexual activity through the internet is a Federal Felony Offense.

I have been involved with "Kiddie Porn" cases. When you make the arrest, you talk sweet to them....you buy them coffee, ....you commiserate with them...you treat them like a visiting Prince. There will be NOTHING found in the way I handle this Tick T*rd that could possibly blow the case. NOTHING!!!! And by acting in this manner you will possibly get even more info out of them.

How would you like to be the one trading messages with this "scrote" making him believe that you are a young girl or boy. Do you think you could sleep well at night? It was a job....it HAD to be done.

Remember.....O.J. is NOT GUILTY!!!! And I believe that in my heart because I believe in our court sysyem. Now if the cops had done a proper job of the investigation, maybe....just maybe, the outcome would have been different.....and I wouldn't be forced to think this way.

.....Mr. Decisions . You do not strike me as the type of person that is " forced " to belive anything. The way you choose to believe is just that , your choosing . By the way , I think OJ did it. I believe he was found not guilty because of reasonable doubt !! ;)

I asked the original question because of a recent article I had seen somewhere. I had no idea that there would be this many responses . THANK YOU !! :D

    Oldwannabe,

Please drop the Mr. Much too formal for a guy like me. Jack or Decisions would be just nifty.

If I have faith in our court system I MUST believe in their findings.

This case is a perfect example of what happens when the L.E. don't do a proper job. When they make mistakes, the guilty are NOT!

It gets even worse......if you investigate the majority of police shootings, where the cop gets shot or worse, you will find that the cop was NOT following proper procedure.
