You may have hard time becoming a FAM. I hear their spelling tests are wicked hard!

I got my conditional offer of employment in August like everyone else. FAM's called the next month to confirm my employment but I have not heard anything else. Is there anyone else out there in the same boat? To the current FAM's should I give up on the Air Marshal dream?

At this juncture, it's hard to say. You may have not made the cut and/or put on hiatus while they re-evaluate the requirements and such.

TSA is too easy to get into. you need a highschool diploma and a valid drivers license, here in california anyway. the test is kinda long ( a computer test) the only hard part if trying to identify the objects in the x-ray in which they have samples for the testing you need to identify objects in which cannot be in the bag, they make it too hard to see the onjects such as knives or firearms, or whatever they are asking you to look for, everything else is basically a questionare about yourself and they determine if you qualify by that personal questionare such as do you believe their are aliens ect.. just basic self explainitory. i just took my written test as well for the local police dept i get all these results on friday march 3rd. your best bet for federal experience is to get into screeners position (TSA) transportation security administration. very very easy to get into like i said. the local police written test was veeeery easy as well..
hope that boost some confidence somewhat. take care
    -Mike
