selective service question

I had that same exact problem :mad:

I mailed my selective service off when I turned 18 but somehow it never got in the system. When I applied for the Police Dept they asked about my card and of course I didn't have one. Well they gave me some **** for a minute until I told them, "dude I did 9 years active duty Army, I don't think I was trying to avoid the military." :D

Just sign up now, thats what I HAD to do, its stupid I know, but its the government its not supposed to make sense.

I was told that if you did military service, you did not have to register with the SSS

Nope, one has nothing too do with the other. Many people join the military after college, failed job, failed marriage etc. They may be in their early 20's by then.
