I think anyone working for that agency are required to sign away their souls and grow horns and a tail. Pitch fork is standard issue sidearm.

Oh, come on. It's not thier fault, they are just doing thier job enforcing the current laws. If you get in trouble then you brought it on yourself. As long as you file taxes and pay 50% of your income to the govn't you won't have any trouble!

I'm actually liking the 1811 slot in the CI dept, the IRS offers. In addition, the revenue agent is a great position, aka "TAX COLLECTOR". I hope some brave soul can come forward and discuss the opportunities with the IRS

I worked with one on a drug task force. Invaluable. But they are the only federal agency that I don't want to cross.

I see, does anyone know how the setup for training is in Glynco, GA?
IRS attends that training, are all the agencies bunched together for the first 8 wks or so? Then do you split off to your specialized training?

Not an 1811, but was a FLETC alumnus. Yes, (I think) pretty much all 1811s go through the CITP, then branch off into more "specialized" courses depending on which agency.
I remember seeing them "in action" for the first time several years ago here. They were serving warrants with the FBI HRT in Chinatown going after illegal gambling ops. Big media attention--but it was the FBI, can you blame them? Anyway at that point, I heard they existed but always thought they were an LE "urban legend!" :rolleyes:
