Anyone got the low down on this dept.? I would literally kill (well, maybe not literally ;) ) to work & live in the Vegas metro area. I've read good things about it on 911jobforums.com. I actually applied to them last year & received a strange & confusing "no thanks" letter. It was a standard "thanks but no thanks" letter but it had some kind of list w/ some other guys' names on them with a highlighted name that, I guess, was eventually hired. That's the only way I can describe it. So from the letter, it appears I was on the final cutoff list but was not selected. Strange too because I didn't even interview! :rolleyes:

I saw a Very Stupid Guy taken into custody by these cops. This was just a few months after 9/11, there were checkpoints a few miles away from each entrance where they asked questions and gave a stern lecture... and this mouthbreather STOPPED HIS CAR and got out IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAM. They had a hell of a time getting him to move into a parking lot, where I hope he, his wife, and daughter enjoyed the quality time they spent with our federal employees.

Do you really want to be a dam cop? I would think that there would be too many dam questions from the public. Then those dam employees would would have alot of dam problems you'd have to deal with. I don't know if the dam paycheck would be worth it but, put in a dam application and aleast see if you hear from the dam guys.

That's okay tunlrat it's Friday night/Saturday morning and the coffee is wearing off me too. ;) I'd better go make some more of that dam lousey coffee because it's going to be a dam long night. Wonder how the dam coffee is at the Hoover dam?
