    Private Contractor Position at USMS St. Louis

    Hello all,

    I sent my resume into a company called Forfeiture Support Associates. Their parent company is MPRI, which might be better known to some of you. Anyway, they have a position availiable for a data analyst for the U.S. Marshals Service in St. Louis. If anyone knows anything at all about this position, I would appreciate the gouge. It sounds like alot of paperwork, office work, kinda boring, but would it be worthwhile as a stepping stone to a federal agency? If any Deputy Marshal has had any interaction with personnel from FSA or one of their analysts, I would appreciate your input. Thanks.

    Forfeiture Support Associates (FSA), a rapidly growing professional support services company delivering high-quality service in support of the Asset Forfeiture Program, has an opening with the United States Department of Justice, United States Marshal Service.

    Data Analyst

    Provide organization and management of case files, including:

    • Review data (completeness of information, proper execution)
    • Extract data from data base
    • Obtain additional information from other investigative agencies/data base
    • Establish/maintain physical file
    • Prepare notices/advertisements
    • Receive, suspense petitions, claims, process sharing requests
    • Reconcile inconsistencies
    • Prepare declarations
    • Gather information and organize investigative package
    • Verify case files and case tracking system
    • Maintain internal status information on the disposition of all forfeited assets
    • Assure information is accurate and perform analytical computations necessary to process data
    • Conduct and reconcile inventories
    • Distribute and receive documents
    • Assist lead analyst or official in obtaining/collecting all documents/information to complete case file
    • Provide administrative information and assistance concerning case to other investigative agencies, local law enforcement agencies, US Attorney, and other DOJ processing units, and higher headquarters
    • Extract data from agency data base for management and program reports
    • Perform word processing relevant to case documentation
    • Perform data entry relevant to case
