No, not a dedicated militia site, but there are prolific posters who could be more firmly wrapped. A definite anti-police bias is present. I'd put them more in a kind of pseudo Libertarian/Anarchist mindset.

The amount of paranoia concerning LE is astounding at times. It's a good site with a LOT of good info, but I'd suggest staying out of General Discussion. I've been on ARFCOM since it's inception. It's been explained to me this way. They have around 60K members. Now, of any population you can probably count on 5% having some significant mental disorder. That's 3K right there. These people oftens see authority figures as an enemy.

That would explain why "Police bashing" threads and trolling seems to be a major pastime. This has an effect well beyond the actual number of posters. It's been enough to get ARFCOM labeled a racist/hate site and banned from several workplaces.

I go to AR-15 sometimes as well. General Discussion has been pretty well taken over by the law enforcement haters and I have read that the management at AR-15 knows they are running a lot of folks away from the site.

Johninaustin and Group9, you guys are right, ARFCOM is very diverse. It is a lot like L.A., but with more guns. I agree with you guys that their general forum was pretty brutal. There are a lot of nuts there; both liberal and conservative, but mostly neo-conservatives. I cannot explain why so many of them fear and dislike LEOs.
