    Bernstein & Lipsett "Adams" Lawsuit

Does any current or former 1811 recall the outcome of the "Adams" lawsuit, spefically the portion pertaining to duty status while en route from home to work and back?

I recently transferred to USCS (now ICE) from another agency, as an 1811. At the former agency, we were considered "on the clock" as soon as we left the driveway and off when we returned. There are a lot of new folks here who have been told that they are not on duty until arrival at the office. I don't want to offer any sage (read: Old Fart) advice until I have the facts but I can't seem to find any info on the internet and nobody I ask, around here, seems to remember the lawsuit. Thanks for any help.

You can look up Bernstein & Lipsett's telephone number in Washington DC. I have it on my rolodex but I won't be back at the office until Monday. They usually have a recording that tells the current status of the lawsuit and if you ask for a secretary, they will usually try and answer any questions you have.

This lawsuit is still ongoing and many 1811's got settlement checks in 2004. There are a lot of issues still on the table and I think home to work time claimed is one of them.
