I was wondering if u apply for a federal LE position, with the Capital Police, Customs or Border, do they go and check all of your personal medical records from every doctor you have been to?

I would rather fail in a cause that will ultimately triumph than to triumph in a cause that will ultimately fail.
You are given a physical at the gov's expense. There you list with the contract doctor any diseases you have had including medical and disabilities/deformities/handicaps you might have including mental health. There is an eyesight requirement for Border Patrol though I don't remember what it is. Do they routinely check for mental things? I can't say. If you are receiving disability from the military, better list it. They will find out.

Judging by your comment, it appears you have a concern.
An investigator for the most part can only verify medical by:
1 Statements on other department backgrounds....polygraphs
2 Possibly check local hospital you live near..or did.
3 People he/she contacts during your background who might comment...
If you have a concern, ask/talk to a cop. Call the nearest police academy and ask what the P.O.S.T / health requirements are ...disqualifications etc.
A lot of people who embark on the process of becoming a police officer, commonly omit stupid stuff they never had to omit in the first place. And then they sometimes get the you-know-what.

PS- Of course your question is federal. But I think my comment is applicable and also helpful to others. Good luck!
