There is not too much out there but if you go to www.911jobforums.com you can find quite a few threads on the position. You will get a cross of pro's and con's.

    Just throwing some options.

Also re: the IS position in the FBI I know of 2 people where they had no problems getting into the SA position from the IS. I think it truly depends on the individual and your qualifications and the "connections" they have too don't hurt.
Do your two friends/acquaintences in the IS position like or dislike the jobs? if so, why for either?

    Thanks

They loved the IS job, but their aspirations were to be SA's. They each applied to be SA's but they got the IS offers first. They (each of them) had pretty much the same outlook, they wanted to be with the Bureau but the IS positions came up first so they took the "sure thing" positions to get in with the agency they both wanted to work for. They are able to move into the SA training upon completion of the hiring process just like everyone else.

What about the job did they love. Also, like w/ any job there will be times one does not love it. Did they mention these instances.

I am in the process for the IS position and w/ no aspiration for an SA position. I am looking for all and any info. available.

    Thanks again

Just thought I'd mention that I ended up passing on my second (and last) attempt at the FBI's notorious Phase II.
