Has anyone heard anything about the status of Immigration Enforcement Agent hiring, or is this another one of those DHS/ICE budget things?

IEAs--harumph--that's an urban legend!
Yes--I'm still bitter!!
since I have applied for IEA entry position, I have been trying to keep up with this, what I know is it was two things, first was trying to get everything re-organized under the DHS, which what I have been told by FLEO that has been completed, second thing is the budget which was passed 10/18/04 and there our 267( number might be off) new position available under the new budget. So with that information I would say that the hirring should start in the next 3-4 months.
I called the Twin Cities Hirring Center, and talked to a very nice lady there, who informed me that eligibility will be extended intill Feb. 05. Mine would have been up 5 Dec 04.
They need to hurry up, I am pushing the age limit.
I take it you have your Results?
I took the written exam last October, got the results (87) a few months later, like most-have'nt heard anything since. My eligibility also expires in December. Did anyone at Twin Cities confirm the number of new hires?
No, nobody confirmed the number at Twin Cities, I got that number from an article of the web about the DHS budget.
I wish I knew what the scores are and how I rank, I have seen some very high scores from this forum, 104,100, and others. Mine was a 96 but I had 10pt vet. pref., still a 96, but when I got it I thought I would have a good enough score, but now I just don't know if I will make the cut. Anbody know what about what kind of score you would need?
I talked with my cousin (U.S. Marshal)back when I got my score and he informed me that they were hiring around the low 80's, but seing these other scores I just don't know the USMS test is even close to the IEA test.

The local office in my area interviewed 20 applicants early this year. The cut-off was 100. One of my co-workers received a notice about 2 weeks ago saying he should get the call "any time now". His score was 103.
What area is your local office? I kinda of makes me think I am out. Any Idea how many tested for your area? If I call my local office think I would get any answers? I don't know how willing people are to talk to applicants?
