As I was watching my team get shelled last night I saw an advertisement that many people at this forum would be interested in (It's a sad day in New England). National Geographic goes inside The United States Secret Service will be airing at 8-10, and then Inside Air Force One from 10-11. So everyone get your TiVo's ready. National Geographic Channel.

My apologies for that post, it was after a long night of watching the Red Sox that I saw that ad. I can finally have a few nights of rest. I think New England could use a few days to recover after all these 7 games.

LOL I have been watching it. Very interesting. And I agree about the Kerry part and finally they are on Reagan. I was wondering when they were gonna get to him.

Does it mention how much the Secret Service agents HATE Kerry? I know several who consider him every bit as detestable as Hillary used to be.

I thought I heard a generalized comment early on when they were talking about Clinton. Very subtle (sp), but that is how I took it.

It was OK...Thought they could have done more than "sell the agency." Wish they showed some training, spoke with some current agents about their work, etc... The great video was on their trailers when they cam ein and out of commericals. That is where the juice was placed.

I did enjoy hearing about Pres. Ford and teh attempts. I never knew about the first attempt. I also enjoyed hearing the other former agents. Just wish thy had a little more from the current guys and gals.

Anf finally...if what they say was true...they have the toughest firearms qualifications I have ever heard of!

The FAMs USED to have the hardest qual. I have shot both. Not a big deal. It, like many quals, takes a little adjustment.

I didn't know about the shootout in 1950 fronting Harry Truman's residence where a UD officer died. Also, didn't know an agent and a city police officer took one for Reagan, I thought only Reagan & Brady were shot. Brave fellas...

Yeah, I wish they'd show more training! Training vids always gets my adrenaline going! Especially when they showed them on the range. I'm pretty sure that was filmed in the outer indoor ranges at FLETC. I recognize those metal beams they use for "pretend" cover.Those lucky bastards & their MP5s! We Customs guys were always jealous of them CITP students as we heard them firing short auto bursts next door. :cool:
