    Uspp

I would like some information about this agency. Can anyone tell me when they plan to hire again?

I recently read an article about the chief being fired. Based on very limited information, it seems she was trying to keep Park Police officers doing traditional police work while the politicians want them to transition to overtrained security guards. Her stance cost her the job.

Is my speculation correct? Has there been a shift away from law enforcement toward security work? How is morale? Any additional information you might provide would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

They're hiring now. Go to usajobs.opm.gov & see their announcement. It hasn't been open since May 2003 (yes, I'm a loser I've been keeping track).
The only question is, if hired, does one have a choice between NY, SF, or DC?

In life's small things be resolute and great
To keep thy muscle trained: know'st thou when Fate
Thy measure takes, or when she'll say to thee,
"I find thee worthy; do this deed for me?"

    Nemo me impune lacessit.

Academy score? Are we talking a cumulative or average score of all your tests at FLETC (e.g. range, EVOC, DT, academic)? Not a big fan of that system for LE academies, prefer pass/fail because you're more protected from liability. I guess that's the big G for ya. Then again legacy US Customs was like that as well, so I'm not surprised. Thanks for the info DC Law. How long does the application process "usually" take?
