CIA internship

I was just wondering if any1 knew how how much the GS-5 Step 6 pay grade is. And also how many college students apply for internships with the CIA each year for their six month DO Undergraduate Student internships? I know my chances are very stiff but i'm just tryin to get a ballpark figure on how close to impossible my chances are of achieiving an internship with the agency.

GS5 Step 6 is $27,347/year.

You'd have to ask your school if they participate in their internship program. Don't forget, if you were accepted you would be representing your college, so they would ask you "to present them in the best light." You would need a strong essay, good academic record, & the support & recommendations of the dean of your college (e.g. College of Business, College of Science, etc.) and /or your main professor(s) of your particular major. The good thing about the CIA internship is not too many students know about it.

The rest is really the roll of the proverbial dice. I say that because I thought I had the FBI internship wrapped up 7 years ago but it went to another student from another school in my state because "my school had the honor of being represented the previous year." What a crock, yeah, you can say I'm still a bit bitter! :cool:

I believe the CIA also have semester CO-OPs you might be interested in & I think they might be paid positions too ( I can't recall) instead of the traditional volunteer internship program.
