    FBI Quantico Sequestering

I'm looking into the FBI Special Agent program (7 years in IT specializing in Computer Forensics) but had a question about Quantico. Similar to other folks, I have a family and wanted to know how much contact you are permitted during the 16 weeks of training (none/phone calls/weekend visits/etc...?)

I don't know personally, but in the interest of a quest for knowledge don't they have this like in a FAQ on their websites?

I mean we don't run the company we may not know. Yeah sure, seeing the board my first reaction would be to ask here to, but you 'best' bet is to ask someone actually running or in that program directly.

I had thought that as well - there isn't any "ombudsman" contact info, and their FAQ is fairly nebulous in a few areas (e.g. it mentions no overnight excursions if you don't pass the PFT - does that mean overnight leaves are possible?)

I'm not at Quantico, but know some people that know some people that robbed some people...wait, wrong movie....

Anyhow, from what I've learned on other web forums out there, folks at the Q have pretty regular contact with family/friends. The NATs are in class for the day, and the evenings (for the most part) are theirs to work out, study, veg, whatever comes to mind. You won't be isolated while you're down there, but at the same time, don't plan on moving the wife and kids down to see them every day.

Actually, you will not have TOO much free time. Don't expect to see them too much during the week. On some weekends, though, you can leave Quantico, but not ALL.
