    Dea Ptt Scores

    Hello All,

I sat-in today on the informational DEA 1811 Recruitment session. But due to "overwhelming" people showing up, PTT was briefly discussed and the fact you need at least 15 points to go to the BAT.

What nobody explained and what nobody passed out was information on how teh scoring was done. They gave us a list of all tasks to be performed but no scoring methods or charts. I asked teh Recruiter but he said it was "too busy" to get into it and to see him after. The line was long and off course he had to end it due to other obligations.

So who has this info? I have googled it, and searched here. I have been unable to find the scoring chart (specifically 29-30/m). Anyone have it willing to share? Thanks!

Joey I cannot help you bud, but I certainly hope someone comes to your aid here. You have certainly earned it after all you have done to help those NYPDers. good luck

OK, i can do pull ups and push ups till the cows come home.

If i get 15 points on those... I passed?

of course, I can also do the other physical stuff in the required time.

No, for DEA PTT you have to pass each test. So if you get a 0 or a negative number for not meeting the minimum requirement (example pushups) but ace through the rest of your test and get a final score of 15, you have to reschedule and retake the DEA PTT all over again. The test is hard and brutal. I have a friend whose a cop in outstanding shape and he failed the first time on his PT test, he received a negative on his situps, but he scored high overall. He had to come back in two weeks to retake in which he passed.

Words of wisdom, if you do get a 0 or negative number in any of the course...finish the course and don't give up. DEA looks for individuals who keep going, it will impress the PTT evaluators and show that you really want the job. Applicants fail the test but they always are rescheduled again. Another advice, if you finish first and there are people still doing the run, get out there and motivate them, it shows leadership and teamwork. Good Luck!
Eunice: A .22? Oh you've gotta be kidding me. That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
Detective Greenly: Yeah, or bringing a really small gun... to a gunfight.
