    FBI phase ii

I just finished up with phase ii, or I should say I just finished up with the polygraph and I guess all went well. The fit test and BI is next. There's an ebook out that really helped, especially with the phase ii interview because it gives about 60 behavioral/situational interview questions and they were right on the money compared to the questions they actually asked. The guy stated in the book that he couldn't give the exact questions because of the confidentiality agreement, but he compiled the questions from various sources and they cover the field pretty good. If anyone wants the address of where to find the book, send me an email at jkomenda@hk-cpa.org, because I don't think advertising is allowed on this site, so it would probably get pulled anyway.

So your first post is to sell a book?

I'm not selling it, I'm saying it's a good book.

I could have said "HI" for my first post, but everyone has to have a first post and mine just happens to be about this book. I was happy to have passed phase ii and the poly and I wanted to share.

Most people would tell us who they are, their background, how they became interested in the FBI, what was involved in the processes described thus far.

I suspect you are here to sell a book. But what do I know?

    My bad.

I'm 32 years old, former police officer from a suburb of Chicago, IL. went back to school, became a CPA, worked in public accouting as an auditor and fraud examiner. Always been interested in federal law enforcement, and so far the process is moving along pretty quick.

You're right, I should have introduced myself first.

Congrats on passing Phase II. I've heard it's pretty tough. Interestingly enough, the FBI hasn't been one of the many agencies I've applied to--guess I was too intimidated. I would like to though in the future. What was Phase I like?

Cool. We tend to take members under our wings here, and your first post just took me as little off. Glad to meet you.

I have a buddy in the Bureau who started in his early 30's. He was a former cop too. He is now assigned to counter-terrorism. I rarely get a chance to visit with him now.

Good luck in your process and keep us aprised.

Thanks. Phase I was your typical written tests, biodata, cognitive ability stuff like math, basically just evaluating your ability to think analyticaly. After that, if you pass, you fill out the long form application and then wait to see if you're in the highly qualified group. Depending on the number of agents their hiring and your competitiveness compared to other applicants and their qualifications you may or may not get a call for phase II. The waiting and not knowing if you're gonna get called is the hardest part.

    Hmm, yeah!!!

FBI25, Why would you post pretending to be a reader/reviewer of this book when in fact you are the author? Your IP address was logged and I I know that it will match up with the same IP address that has been posting on other LE forums recently ---oppss busted!!! At least try changing your grammar or writing style to not make it so obvious! If you want to sell your book why not come clean? Afterall, that is what is expected of you in the FBI!

Tunlrat: Phase 1 is not difficult if you are good at Math. There are a lot of questions and time is more of a problem than the difficulty of the question.

txinvestigator1: You spotted this one a mile off!

Yeah..good call. He should've come out and stated it, some people may have wanted it if he was up front about it, and maybe put it in the correct forum.
