? about USCP

If anyone could give me some info about how long the USCP takes to make a decision on an applicant it would be great. I recently was in D.C. to finish the process and I completed everything. The recruiter said that since I have a four year degree,and I'm relatively young (23) that my background check should'nt take long. Is this true? or am I gettin' the ol' two step? Thanks for any info!! :c :confused:

No shouldn't take "that long". Compared to if you were older and thus had more background. Give them a few months and see if they have started, not much to do at this point but sit and wait. Good luck.

Did they finally get out of the hiring freeze, I was told a while back that many people are getting rejected when they submit their application booklet. Compared to last year, many people were advancing to the initial interview.

While I was in DC in February, the my recruiter, my polygraphy examiner and my background investigator all said that USCP is hiring something like 50 officers in spring-summer 04, then the same amount during the same period in 2005.

wow, that sure is less than last year when they were hiring about 350 for the whole year.
