GS LEO vs. GS standard pay scale

Question I have is in reference to the pay scales that OPM uses. I was wondering if federal police officers, though most aren't covered under 6c retirement, are still entitled to the adjusted pay grades on the GS LEO pay table? For example, if I am hired as a GS-0083-08, would my salary be on the standard employee pay scale or the LEO pay scale. I was told the LEO pay scale is for all LEO's regardless if 6c covered or not. The difference between 6c and non-covered 6c is an additional 25% LEAP and of the course the LEO retirement. I have gotten conflicting stories, and this would be important if I am about to be hired and am looking at the wrong pay table. Any responses would be appreciated.

Hmm I don't think 6c and LEAP are mutually exclusive. I believe some agencies get one and not the other and some don't get either and some get both. From previous discussions I've seen on this, it would depend on the agency. There are some Feds on here who are better experts on this than I am however.

6C and LEAP are definitely not tied together.

I am sorry to say that I really don't know the answer to yourquestion, though.

Sorry, it's just not my cup of tea.
